Mon Premier Crystal Hirondelles Absolu de Parfum
Perfumer Nathalie Lorson says, “For Lalique’s 130th anniversary, I imagined a scent as airy and poetic as the flight of the Swallow. A very natural Jasmine, magnificent, uncompromising, in a style as streamlined, polished and limpid as crystal.” Top notes of Gardenia, Freesia and Tuberose complement a decadent heart of pure jasmine: Indian Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Infusion of Egyptian Jasmine, and Grasse Jasmine Absolute. Underpinning these heady florals are base notes Madagascar Vanilla Absolute, Heliotrope, Musks.
This is a remarkable fragrance, dramatically presented in a box of black and gold, with each of the swallows adorning the bottle handpainted in 24 carat gold, and the black ribbon encircling the neck of the bottle adorned with an exquisitely delicate feather. Only 130 bottles of this precious concoction exist, each numbered and engraved with the legend Lalique 130 ans, 1888-2018.

Anniversary Edition: Platine Candle Vase
The vase is made of blue sapphire and platinum enamelled crystal, suggestive of the swallows’ migration across the ocean. In this piece, Lalique encapsulate that aspect of the swallow which made it the sailor’s charm: the yearning for the sea, the equally strong longing for a safe return to land. Patchouli, cedarwood and sandlewood are a strong foundation for aromatic citrus topnotes of Bergamot, Cypress and Clary Sage. A heart of vetiver, orris, sea salt and incense absolute creates a perfect fusion with elements of the divine alongside the wild and free. One hundred and thirty of these candle vases have been produced, and each comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Mon Premier Crystal Absolu de Parfum collection
The Mon Premier Crystal collection is made up of three perfumes, each exploring a particular aspect of crystal. Tendre by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni represents molten crystal in a woody oriental; Lumière by Alexandra Monet is a floral chypre inspired by sculpted crystal and Tendre by Sidonie Lancesseur is a floral oriental embodying the qualities of satined crystal. The flacon is identical for each perfume: art nouveau swallows circle the body of the bottle, vertical art Deco stripes decorate the shoulders and the base. Each bottle is differentiated by colour: fuschia pink ribbon and soft rose for Sensuel, black against yellow for Lumière, and powder pink againts palest pink for Tendre. The agony of choice is made easier knowing that each coffret contains discovery phials of the other two fragrances, along with a travel pouch and spray puff.
