Gymkhana hosts exclusive late-night Diwali celebrations

GYMKHANA, a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant in Mayfair, will celebrate Diwali, the Hindu festival of light this season. An exclusive feasting menu has been designed especially for Diwali weekend. It features dishes like Lasooni Tiger prawns with red pepper chutney and Goat Raan, Masala Tandoori Potato with onion and chilli kulchas. Gymkhana also prepared a late-night bar menu that is served until 2am, featuring cocktails crafted by the world’s best bars.

Alongside the feasting menu, Gymkhana will provide cards, chips and rules, if necessary, for traditional games, such as Flush, that guests can play at their tables.

Gymkhana’s sister restaurant in Marylebone, Trishna, continue the Diwali celebrations with a special tasting menu of five or seven courses titled Taste of Trishna Diwali Menu. It includes dishes such as Dorset Brown Crab in a sauce of butter, garlic, chilli and pepper and Paneer tikka anardana, which is the traditional Indian cottage cheese alongside mango, mint, corn and pomegranate.

In keeping with Diwali traditions, guests at both Gymkhana and Trishna will be gifted a box of Indian sweets to take home after the meal.

The Hindu celebrations at Gymkhana will run from Thursday October 19 to Saturday October 21. The feasting menu is for a minimum of six people and costs £90 per person
