Louis Vuitton SS18 Selfridges Pop-Up

AS announced today, Kim Jones will be leaving his role as artistic director for menswear at Louis Vuitton, a position he has held for seven years. The London-born creative will present his final show for the fashion house tomorrow; but before we look to AW18, Selfridges have launched a pop-up of the designer’s SS18 collection that debuted last year.

Presented in retro-pop colour scheming, the department store space uses surfboards, a vintage vehicle and multi-coloured monkeys to compliment the clothing. Referencing exotic islands and an escape from the everyday, Hawaiian print-shirts and palm-tree scarfs are joined by staple leather goods that are given an update of pink and blue trimmings.Louis Vuitton Exclusive Monogram Silver Backpack_Front_View

The new versions of the bags communicate a picture of modern opulence, clean, current but classic, representing knowledge of fashion and a luxury lifestyle.
