AFTERÂ queuing in the scorching sun, guests finally made their way into the presentation space for the reviling of QASIMI SS18 collection. The cool a/c and complementary champagne instantly cooled down the guests as they waited in front of flowing white sheets with a warm orange spotlight shone through creating an African safari feel. The QASIMI apparel fitted perfectly with the destination atmosphere.
The models came out in packs of four before moving to different sections of the floor allowing everyone to have a look. The warm, soft colours of orange, red, yellow, green and blush pink formed and gave an insight to the Middle-Eastern designer’s roots.
The garments were over-sized and assembled of wide-leg trousers and well as tailored and layering. Green rain jackets, long and cropped, featured adjustable features and several pockets. The collection as very utility.
Knitwear, linen coats with drawstring sack-style bags with leather straps and pinstripe shorts in a range of colours were also seen. Strap-on sandals worked well with the theme of the collection and were actually made very cool.
