This beautiful dove-grey jacketed tome book showcases every couture collection up to 2017, and ready to wear from the Galliano period at Dior onwards. Each designer’s era is navigated skillfullyskilfully by Fury’s opening profiles followed by former Glass Magazine writer Sabatini’s evocative collections texts, mixing quotes of the day with interesting fascinating facts about the house (Blenheim Palace was first used as a venue for Dior couture in 1958 in aid of the British Red Cross, attended by Princess Margaret, over half a century before Dior returned in 2016 for Cruise 2017).

The images are glorious – a particular favourite of our fashion team being the Madame Butterfly collection for SS 2007 couture that manages to elevate the East – Meets – West theme while sidestepping any accusation of cultural appropriation, with its elegant, intricate , exotic and profoundly beautiful pieces. A wonderful celebration of this legendary fashion house of fashion.
