Originally curated by the Palais Galleria in Paris, the exhibition will be reimagined for the V&A, making it the first UK based exhibition entirely dedicated to “Coco” Chanel.

Featuring over 180 looks never before seen together, as well as a collection of jewellery, accessories, cosmetics and perfumes, the exhibit details on every aspect of the creatives journey and looks towards her approach to fabric and silhouette in eight different themed sections.

Perfectly suited to the capital, the showcase will also focus on her adoption of distinctly British-made textiles and inspirations, including tweed, which has since become synonymous with the French couturière.
