The Goring unveils Tiara Tree by Royal Jeweller Garrard

SPLENDOUR is served as the only hotel to be granted a Royal Warrant for hospitality services by Her Majesty The Queen, The Goring, has partnered with the dazzling British jewellers, Garrard, for a tiara-themed tree.

The fellow warrant holders have taken inspiration from their historic Garrard tiaras, previously worn by Her Majesty and The Royal Family ahead of Christmas 2022. The two iconic London houses have collaborated for an exclusive festivity, adding a touch of glamour to an already splendid destination.

Being the closest hotel to Buckingham Palace, The Goring has succeeded in becoming a firm royal favourite since its arrival in 1910. Delivering beyond exceptional standards of hospitality for over a century, all by one family, in 1990 the late George Goring accepted an O.B.E. for their services to the hotel industry and to follow was the great Royal Warrant in 2013.

Discovered in London, 1735, by master silversmith George Wicks, Garrard exceeded in the appointment of the first official Crown Jeweller in 1843. Ever since, the house has boasted a prestigious part in British history with its imaginative designs and beautifully handcrafted pieces. Who better to pay homage to Her Majesty than the bespoke creators of the British Royal Family’s tiaras themselves?

Launching 22 November 2022 till 5 January 2023, the lucky guests of London’s iconic getaway will bare-witness to two tiara-themed Christmas trees, adorned in four kinds of sparkling tiaras. Each of which are modelled from memorable royal occasions throughout Her Majesty’s reign.

One of the most notable of the four is The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara from 1893, as the highly favoured piece features portraits, stamps, and currency from around the commonwealth.

The star moment atop of the tree will consist of The Lover’s Knot Tiara from 1913, more famously known as Princess Diana’s signature choice. The inspiring moment consists of many diamonds and a grand collection of 19 hanging pearls set in silver and gold.

Other tiaras include The Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara from 1919, worn by Her Majesty on her wedding day and most recently by Princess Beatrice on her wedding day in 2020, and The Delhi Durbar Tiara, frequently worn by the Duchess of Cornwall from 1911.
