French luxury bakery and sweets-maker Ladurée are recognised across the world for their attention to detail creations, known most famously for their double-tiered macarons. This Christmas, the patisserie takes its influence from Canadian flavours and baking, collaborating with celebrated chef Patrice Demers for a fresh take on festive bakes. The chef invokes the unique flavours of Canadian sweets into macarons for this collection, such as the familiar flavours of pecan and maple syrup, and perhaps less familiar haskap, which is a kind of blue honeysuckle, found deep in the Canadian forests. This year also marks the first Christmas that Ladurée has created mince pies, available exclusively in the UK.  Made from puff pastry, these mince pies feature a traditional British spiced fruity filling and crumble-like topping, offering a delicious play on the usual textures of a mince pie. Additionally, Ladurée has also added to its iconic selection of yule logs as part of the collection, including a specially named Marie Antoinette log, with a macaroon base, rose buttercream, and lychee jam filling. It’s Christmas indulgence, but at its most refined.

With colourful and creative illustrations, the advent calendar reveals quirky animal and jungle-inspired details with each door, as well as a selection of sugar-coated almonds, praline bonbons, and mini chocolate bars. But, our favourite from Alain Ducasse has to be their classic chocolate truffles, a perfectly rich and decadent addition to your christmas parties, (or even a delicious Christmas gift), coming in three indulgent flavours; dark ganache, vanilla ganache, and orange praline.
