Metallic flares accompanied with the iconic tweed, echoed the timelessness of Chanel. The traditional summer colour white, was a prominent feature on many outfits, which combined with a floral colour scheme created a kaleidoscope effect. There was an air of Middle Eastern design, with cut out Harem pants worn underneath long jackets and dresses creating a westernised Arabian night feel.

In keeping with the vintage design, the hair was worn in ‘60s bouffant and ‘70s perm with dark eye makeup that reflected the glamour of the collection. The models supported hairpieces including moon and Chanel emblems that were placed as tiaras. Boho style, loose sheer fabric decorated the body, creating architectural shape that oozed femininity. Floral designs clashed against each other and were highlighted with sequins, updating the casual holiday outfit to an enchanting Eastern experience.

The collection featured multiple themes but stayed true to the Chanel brand, transforming casual summer clothing into smart, sophisticated understated glamour. From East to West, ‘60s to ‘70s, the show encapsulated the romanticism of travel and displayed an essence of retro style.
