SS15 ad campaign round up

The fashion savvy reader will be coming across the SS15’s ad campaigns in the glossies quite soon, in the meantime however, Glass have compiled a round up of the designers, models, photographers and, naturally, the clothing of the moment.

Prada have once again utilised entrusted photographer Steven Meisel to depict the sheer quality of SS’s products and diverse range of styles the brand has treated us to. Combining Gemma Ward, the fashion house’s trump card who made a monumental comeback on their runway in Milan, Julia Nobis and Ine Neefs, Miuccia has put together a stylistic blueprint for the modern, confident and carefree yet driven female ideal.

In a more picturesque equestrian sphere, Chloé have embraced the heritage factor for SS15. Drifting us away to a seaside retreat, the sandy shores of Paradise Cove, CA, to be exact, the brand have brought two Chloé comrades together, dolling them up in their latest free-spirited collection and let them loose along the coastline. Considering the boho seventies vibe that took over the brand for SS, this Inez and Vinoodh shot campaign was the perfect way to make their latest collection appear under the guise of being utterly timeless.

Bottega have instead opted to position their latest campaign on location in Tokyo, featuring both men’s and women’s collections as seen behind the iconic lens of avant-garde Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. A product of the brand’s scheme to collaborate with a number of the most acclaimed artists of the moment, the SS15 mood takes dance and freedom of movement into consideration to give the clothes the starring role. Dominated by dewy shades of deep navy and sky blue the campaign brings a semi-provocative freshness to the fore.

Céline have gone all out in their quest for star appeal, attracting many oohs and aahs across cyberspace by casting the writer Joan Didion in their SS15 campaign. Alongside Didion, French ballet dancer and choreographer Marie-Agnes Gillot and British model Freya Lawrence all make appearances that prove Céline is just as captivated by the woman in question than ever before.

CEL_Master Presse DP SUM15 72dpi - 33As Nicholas Ghesquiere continues his rapid growth at Vuitton, the ad campaigns just keep getting better and better. For SS15, the creative director brought together three legendary photographers, Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber and Juergen Teller to enact his creative vison for the collection.

Following on from the previous AW14 campaign which was created in the same vein and went on to win the BFC award for best advertising campaign, this is a sure-fire visual spectacular. Casting the likes of Vuitton muses Freja Beha and Jennifer Connelly,  the photographers worked in harmony to create a campaign that spoke just as much for the new sophisticated artisan quality that has permeated throughout the house.

1102423Over at Givenchy, Ricardo Tisci decided that SS15’s campaign should be presented in two parts. One part everyone’s favourite multi-award winning pretty woman, Julia Roberts, and part two, the usual fierce fashion-forward display of the heightened femininity that Tisci trades in. Kitting out Mica Arganaraz, Alessio Pozzi, Imaan Hammam as a fierce all-girl gang of bikers, Mert and Marcus hold the torch for once again portraying the sisters who are doing it for themselves.
