Savile Row’s Huntsman launches Huntswoman of Tomorrow

FOLLOWING the recent celebration of International Women’s Day, Savile Row’s prestigious tailor Huntsman launches Huntswoman of Tomorrow.

Designed by stylist Susan Bender Whitfield and Ethical Era, a sustainability intelligence platform, the collection is aimed at creating pieces that focus on longevity, durability and style versatility through focusing on the needs of the modern woman.

Latching onto the idea of seamless transition, and in true Huntsman style, the collaboration unveils a customisable jacket which is showcased in six different looks to suit opposing aesthetics.

With an archive and history spanning over 170 years, each outfit seeks to emulate the same elegance and prestige as one of the tailor’s famous female clients, naming each look after them: the Bette, the Marlene or the Liz, to name a few.

Bender worked closely alongside Huntsman’s Head of Womenswear, Magdalena Handwerker, a leading figure in bespoke, who has triumphed and reinterpreted the iconic one button House style to flatter the female silhouette.

The duo balanced the timeless nature of the tailoring world with their contemporary vision, resulting in a cinched waist, generous lapels and high armholes – all able to be adjusted to the body of the wearer.

Though not their first foray into womenswear, Huntswoman of Tomorrow brings the success of the past into today proving that the women can definitely wear it better than the men.
