Savile Row, located in Mayfair, enjoys an outstanding reputation of creating some of the best crafted hand cut and made suits in the country, even go so far an coining the term bespoke. One renowed store on the street is Gieves and Hawkes making headlines by selecting sustainability as one of their core values. 2018 marked the first year of their business carbon footprint reporting, mentoring the emissions of their retail sites, head office and warehouses and setting the target to reduce these by an impressive five per cent each year. In September of this year, their hard work payed off, as they have been rewarded by The Planet Mark, confirming and recognising their commitment to continuous improvement regarding sustainability.

But as with most things, change comes from within. Analysing and in an effort to keep their supply chain as green as possible, Gieves and Hawkes now source eco-friendly fibres and donate their overstock, the green-trend inspired the personnel too, as they now no longer use disposable cups.

A step in the right direction when it comes to green fashion.
