Phillips announce spring series of online-only auctions

LEADING auctioneers of 2oth-century and contemporary works of art, Phillips, have announced a series of online auctions for Spring 2020 following the outbreak of Covid-19.

Beginning on April 8, Phillips will host a series of themed, cross-category auctions that will continue online throughout April and May. The first auction, online now, is Editions and Works on Paper, featuring both modern and contemporary masters. This will be followed by two concurrent sales, Current Mood and Desktop which will open for bidding on April 15. Current Mood will be dedicated solely to contemporary art, while Desktop will offer a selection of contemporary art, editions, and design.

Katherine Lukacher and Charlotte Gibbs, Co-Heads of Phillips Online-Only Sales, have said “we are happy to have the opportunity to connect with our collecting community during this difficult time”. The auctions will include works by big names such as photographer, Mario Testino and artist, Damien Hirst.
