PFW SS15: Roland Mouret

On the surface, Roland Mouret upheld his nouveau-Parisienne chic ideal for another season in Paris today. Though this isn’t just any other season, this year has seen Mouret’s name and eminence in fashion commerce reach a new zenith worldwide, with more woman than ever the world over paying attention to his sexy design principles. This made the self-professed womenswear redeemer decide to underline the codes than brought him such popularity in the first place, with a few fun new additions. His purposeful attention afforded to cut and structure turned each and every head that flanked the catwalk, bubblegum tones coming into the mix to accentuate the fabrics role in proportioning the body.

He was careful not to restrict the female from to anything that became too monotonous or old hat however, introducing polished cropped trouser two-pieces that exuded a wonderful femininity. Mouret also decided to try his hand at a pop’y stylised singular floral print, he was one of the most prominent purveyors of feminine charm this season. The spicy girlish dresses in hot tamale hues that capped off what was essentially a delightfully safe collection championed all the charm however, employing all the energy the collection could muster. Mouret’s in a good place at the moment and because of that the ride ahead looks fairly smooth for him too.
