PFW SS15: Miu Miu

On the final day of Paris Fashion week, Miu Miu unveiled its SS15 womenswear, a youthful collection with an air of the seventies and offering a wide array of fabrics.

Last season was all about functionality while this collection featured graceful femininity. Narrow pencil skirts paired with chiffon, bra-tops, leather and suede jackets provided elegance and dominated the catwalk. A highlight were the indescribably chic leather handbags in a multiple colour palette, a signature of the luxe brand. However the show offered a little bit of everything which was interesting and satisfying from the one point of view – slightly chaotic from the other – leather, tartan, airy midi-skirts with ruffle hems, coats with furry collars, crop tops, velvet, tweed, floral, print and occasionally mismatched colourful combinations gave the impression of a carefree-arbitrary beauty. Floral platforms and belts conveyed a lollipop girliness whilst midi calf boots offered sensual vibes.

Filled with energy and youthfulness, Miu Miu SS15 was an eye-catching show of various images, style and colour.
