This season at Miu Miu Miuccia Prada took pattern to the limit with pattern and texture in every garment – Overlapping patterns, tartans, leopard print, stripes, snakeskin if you can imagine it, it was probably in Miu Miu’s AW15 collection.
The models were all sporting garments that had a clear 1970s vibe with their tartan knee-length skirts, and the cuts of their jackets, but all of these pieces were modernized by the colour and pattern choices. The colours on the classic patterns were brighter while also being mixed with more contemporary textures.
As far as accessories, Miu Miu went full on floral with its jewellery choices. Full daisy necklaces with matching earrings that have a hint of 1960s flower children in them. Overall the collection had a rather fresh take on a classic era that is very popular in fashion right now. And the house is handling it in an effortlessly unique way. You will definitely be able to spot a Miu Miu woman this coming season, she will not be ignored.
