New Model Army – Glass meets Nicole Keimig

Nicole Keimig Glass meets up with 19-year-old model Nicole Keimig to get the low down on her rising career. Nicole, who hails from Omaha, Nebraska, is represented by The Society New York, Elite World; Paris, Milan, London, and Barcelona.

How did you become a model?
My friends and family encouraged me to try modeling, I was later scouted at a Taylor Swift concert, then shortly after I decided to submit pictures to some local agencies

Who is your favourite designer?
A few of my favorite designers are Celine, and Kenzo.

What do you wear on your days off?
On my days off I like wearing band or comfy T-shirts, jeans, boots and a leather jacket, I like to keep it casual and comfy : )

What book, movie or song means the most to you?
A song that means the most to me would be Dirty Little Secret by The All-American Rejects because it reminds my of my sister, because one summer we played Rock Band religiously and we both aren’t that great at singing and that was the only song we could both play the guitar or drums and sing and get a 100 per cent so it always reminds me of her and that summer : )

Who are your heroes in life?
The heroes in my life would have to be my parents, without their support I would never be where I am today, or the person I am today. And for that I’m truly grateful.

What is your present state of mind?
I would say my present state of mind is content, I’m happy with where I am and what I’m doing right now, I’m really enjoying traveling and meeting people from all over. And the modeling world is so small, so it can be quite easy to see old friends in new places, which is super nice

What is your idea of happiness?
My idea of happiness is being somewhere I haven’t been before and getting lost, then finding somewhere to sit down, relax, listen to music and write in a journal about anything and everything that’s happening in my life.

How would you like to be perceived by others?
I would like to be perceived by others as kind, trustworthy, respected, and chill.

If you were not a model, what would you be?
If I wasn’t a model I would be probably be starting my last year of school this next year, and studying business, and something to do with culture, and the arts.

What advice do you have for other models?
To other models, younger or older, enjoy this moment as long as you can, not everyone gets to travel the world and see and learn so much. So take advantage of it. Go and see the cities you’re in. Meet the people, experience the culture and learn the language.

(I’m still trying to do the last one myself) : )
