How did you become a model? And why?
I was scouted at the Birmingham clothes show and I thought I should make the most of the opportunity. At the time my paper round was my only real commitment so I thought I should go for it.

Have you always wanted to be a model?
No, I never thought about it, it’s been interesting learning about the industry; especially how fashion brands produce the clothing, from the pattern cutters, machinists, factories, it so interesting and the people are very talented.

Who are your heroes in life?
Jessica Ennis Hill has always been my idol because she is such an amazing sportswoman. Being world class at 7 events is so incredible.

What is your present state of mind?
I feel grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given this year, being shot for Edward’s Inaugural issue of British Vogue and being part of such a historic issue of Vogue is something I’ll always treasure!

What is your idea of happiness?
Going for a jog and then lying in bed with a pomegranate and Youtube.

How would you like to be perceived by others?
I’d like to think friendly, outgoing and chatty.

If you were not a model, what would you be?
Definitely in emergency services, probably the Metropolitan police in the firearms or riot department. Or maybe a paramedic so I can work with the old people and listen to their life stories.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given? And who gave it to you?
One of my bookers said I shouldn’t compare myself to others because your journey is different to theirs. In the age of social media, it’s easier than ever to compare yourself to other people and beat yourself up.

What do you miss most when you’re traveling?
My dog, Skittles. I have no one to keep my feet warm at night.

What is your favourite song or songs to walk to?
Anything from the 1970s and ‘80s.

What would you say is the biggest myth or misperception about being a model?
That we have to be really healthy, yesterday I had a tub of M&S Millionaire shortbread bites for lunch.

What is your opinion on the fashion and modeling industries?
It’s very different to what I imagined, it’s very competitive, involves a lot of rejection. However, I’m impressed with the catering on shoots.
