How did you become a model?
I was scouted at the age of 14 at the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent.

Have you always wanted to be a model?
It wasn’t something I had originally thought about pursuing until I was scouted. At first, being so young I was hesitant, but once I turned 16 and started working properly, I got into the swing of it all and it became one big exciting journey.

Who are your heroes in life?
One of my heroes in life has to be Meryl Streep. I’ve witnessed her warmth and inspiration at a very intimate level to a close friend of mine. I look up to her kindness and wisdom.

What is your idea of happiness?
Happiness in my mind means simplicity. For me it’s the long bath at the end of a tough day, doing an hour-long yoga classes on a Sunday or lighting your favourite candle in the evening. It’s the small mindful movements you make each day which help cut out the buzz of a hectic week.

How would you like to be perceived by others?
I always want to be perceived as professional but always up for a laugh. This balance is important to me.

If you were not a model, what would you be?
If I wasn’t currently modelling then I would 100 per cent be working with animals. I absolutely love them. And in 2018, I want to branch out and do some extra work on the side helping wildlife and pet shelters.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given? And who gave it to you?
Best piece of advice I was given was, “Everything matters, nothing matters that much.” It was from a good friend.

What do you miss most when you’re travelling?
Being away from England. It’s those English things such as a Sunday roast and my British blue cat I crave.

What is your favourite song or songs to walk to?
I love to walk to the album called Amoroso by João Gilberto. It’s a classic.

What would you say is the biggest myth or misperception about being a model?
A lot of outside people like to claim it’s one of the most glamorous jobs going, which at times yes, it can be. But it’s the behind the scenes of the job which show the nitty-gritty grind you put in, that people don’t see. As a model, you do in fact work extremely hard, which is often misconceived.
