Natalia Vodianova partners with Harrods Fashion ReTold charity to raise money for NSPCC

PROTECTING children from abuse and neglect, the work of NSPCC is vital. To raise money for the charity, this year Harrods has partnered with Elbi, as part of its Fashion ReTold campaign. Co-founded by supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova, and tech entrepreneur and impact investor Timon Afinsky, Elbi was launched in January 2018. Since then it has harnessed the power of technology and storytelling to transform the lives of millions by providing a web and mobile friendly charity platform, encouraging people to subscribe to a community-based service in which they are rewarded for their charitable donations.

The collaboration has been announced following the success of the unique Harrods Fashion ReTold pop-up shopping experience in 2018, with a store on London’s Sloane Street. Harrods went on to repeat the project this year, launching a luxurious charity pop-up on Marylebone High Street in premises donated by Howard de Walden Estate, once again raising vital funds for the NSPCC.

ElbiDrops are being released once a week for three weeks, giving users the chance to win luxury gifts and experiences. Supporters will be able to pledge their donations via the platform, with the person who makes the largest donation being rewarded with one of the incredible gifts on offer. At least 90 per cent of the proceeds (minus any payment processing) will be going to the NSPCC. Now in it’s second week, this week’s ElbiDrop includes a re-edition of the Paco Rabanne iconic bag 1969, worth around £1,000 and expertly crafted in France, and a Plumes de Brazil, hand embroidered Hermès blanket with silk threads and crystal beads worth around £13,620. Last weeks prizes included an Apriori Diamond edition toothbrush worth £5,000, and an Amilla Fushi seven-night stay in the Maldives worth £8,000.

The NSPCC is Harrods’ long-standing charity partner  – together they have already raised approximately £800,000 to help fund the charity’s services in London. A fantastic feat for a fantastic cause.
