MFW SS22: Tod’s

WALTER Chiapponi, known for his impeccable taste and sensual, feminine designs, brought a distinctively tomboyish feel to Tod’s this season. The Italian fashion house’s SS22 show, presented at Milan’s Contemporary Art Pavilion, proposed tidy, boxy silhouettes showing plenty of leg and crafted in the softest leathers and jersey.

Putting a fashion-forward spin on sportswear, A-line apron dresses in soft nude tones were high-waisted and featured the brand’s signature rubber gommino patches, while feather-light puckered windbreakers and biker jackets electrified the runway in eye-popping shades of lemon, emerald, orchid and tangerine.

Chiapponi put a spotlight on the House’s T-Timeless project this season, emphasising the line’s signature logo and pebble motif on ultra-chic footwear, including sandals, elevated with macro rubber soles, and platform T-Timeless loafers and dainty kitten heels.

Small bowling bags with a pebble pattern in punchy tones of yellow, turquoise and bright red finished the 46 looks with flair – Chiapponi has certainly found his Tod’s woman, and is catering to her every sartorial whim flawlessly.
