MFW AW14: Etro

For those who can’t get enough of tribal looking embroidered mosaic prints, Etro’s catwalk show hosted during Milan Fashion Week was sure to have left the viewer with inspiration for the AW 14 season.

A classic autumn palette in mainly orange, red and brown hues, Veronica Etro’s collection oozed the ‘timelessness’ she spoke about behind the scenes at her show.  Outfits were not confined to a certain moment of time, rather would make great investment pieces for any lover of luxurious cut and design in a printed textile.

The looks presented on the runway were layered and mainly consisted of full-length dresses paired with suede knee length boots.  Textures such as fur jackets and tweeds gave a three dimensional aspect to the print, lest one get lost in print sensory overload.  Leather and fur handbags dominated the accessories.  The overall silhoettes of the collection were relaxed and had an Eastern inspired bohemian flair

Etro is an Italian fashion house that not only produces clothing, but also textiles, home décor and perfumes.  Printed textiles, especially paisley is a signature look for Etro and is their unique selling point.
