Louis Vuitton unveils latest Capucines handbag campaign starring Léa Seydoux

FRONTING Louis Vuitton’s latest handbag campaign is none other than Léa Seydoux – renowned French actress, house ambassador and Bond girl – who clutches the House’s classic Capucines bag in a series of effortless shots lensed by Steven Meisel.

Cocooned in cotton bed sheets, Seydoux poses with the Capucines MM in black Taurillon leather, in a shoot styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé and art directed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the brand’s Artistic Director of womenswear.

“The campaign portrays the intimate relationship between a woman and her bag and highlights the timeless elegance of the Capucines bag,” said Vuitton.

Launched in 2013 and named after the address where Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854, Rue Neuve-des-Capucines, the architectural and minimal style has become one of the French brand’s most recognisable and beloved designs. A feat of craftsmanship – each bag requires some 250 handcrafted elements – the Capucines is the perfect embodiment of Louis Vuitton’s DNA, asserting itself with clean lines and timeless sophistication.
