Louis Vuitton Cruise 2018

FROM California to Rio, Nicolas Ghesquière bought the Louis Vuitton 2018 resort collection to the Miho Museum in Kyoto, Japan. Michelle Williams, Isabella Huppert and Kansai Yamamoto were sitting front row and opening the show was Tokyo-born Rila Fukushima who has starred in The Wolverine and Game of Thrones.

Models walked down the aisle with toned down, yet dramatic Kabuki, eye make-up which were also the motif on the bags. The 1970s film Stray Cat Rock was one of Ghesquière inspiration, the collection celebrated the fashion with large collar lapels and button down biker vests and ‘70s floral prints. Bright orange blocked trousers felt familiar to the brands pre-fall 2017 orange leather boots.
