LFW SS15: Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Once again the high princess of  punk Vivienne Westwood  bravely speaks  her mind dedicating her SS15 collection to Scottish independence. The sizzling collection comprised of classy feminine designs was mainly inspired by Ancient Greece, the theatrical costumes of Greek tragedy, paganism, and the 18th century French fashion trends.

Rich in colour; ornate dresses, jackets and skirts appear in floral prints offering a note of blossoming freshness. Simultaneously structured tailoring and drapery indicate the ancient Greek influence. Ethereal maxis, lace, pencil skirts, jacquard knitwear, blazers and female suits inspired by menswear tailoring feature femininity and elegance with some touches of ethnic.

The interplay of colours, ancient inspirational sources and menswear influences create a mixture of eclectic, alternative garments emphasising the sexy chic and powerful woman.
