Envisioning the chimerical treasures of classic Georgian culture as flowing smoky-blue silk chiffon’s and exquisite adusk lace, the Norwegian designer considered the Baroque, Classical and Persian revival, and  interpreted these powerful aesthetics into romanticised clothing that is softly intertwined with a thorny rigor.

The powdery-pink poetic mind-set of Aadnevik saw heavy domineering velvet, neo-romanticised snakeskin printed leather as well as harsh metal studs and strict cinching belts wonderfully juxtapose the delicate deity elements of the collection, hinting at the subtle gothic affectation that supplies the textural accompaniments.

Stunning stand-outs include the plethora of carapace structures materialized in lacy finery; most notably a scarlet stained lingerie imbued mini-dress, which set a trend for other scintillating, sheer offerings doing their part to abstract colour and shape.

This season, the Aadnevik woman, an enchanting, embellished nostalgist, propositions us with the come-hither call of history at its grandiose apex, a siren call that is sure to tempt many consumers to the lustrous label.
