Glass looks at Lehmann Maupin’s online viewing room for latest show – Power Wall

THE Lehmann Maupin gallery has launched an online viewing room for their latest exhibition in their Hong Kong gallery, Power Wall. The show includes works by South African artist Robin Rhode and Jamaican-born artist Nari Ward, exploring a range of historical and contemporary references, blending high and low art forms in one collective space. This marks the first showcasing of Nari Ward’s work in Hong Kong and the first time Ward and Rhode have exhibited together.

The exhibition explores the way both artists use the wall as a physical space for mark making, producing work steeped in socio-political meaning. Nari and Ward depict their nuanced expressions of individuality and cultural concerns through photography and found objects.

You can virtually experience the exhibition with an exclusive digital walkthrough led by the gallery’s Curatorial Director, Anna Stothart. As well as exploring the artists’ practices and artworks through a series of videos, VR experiences and images, also available on the website.

Lehmann Maupin has launched these digital initiatives to connect with the worldwide community in times where communication is a crucial lifeline for creativity and inspiration.
