IN Maria Grazia Chiuri’s vision for Dior Haute Couture, nude is de rigeur. Models sashayed down the runway in a veritable slew of pleated skirts, bar jackets and tulle gowns in every shade of nude imaginable. To accompany the swathes of nudes that would make any ballerina envious, Dior Make-up’s Creative and Image Director Peter Phillips crafted a fresh and natural look using products from the Dior Backstage Line.

For the skin, Philips first used the Dior Backstage Face and Body and Foundation, which is available in 40 shades to suit every skin tone. Any imperfections were then hidden with Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer, and high points accentuated with the Flash Luminizer. A dusting of Dior Backstage Glow Palette Universal Powder was used to perfect to skin, along with a touch of the Dior Backstage Contour Palette to sculpt the face. Philips also used the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in the shade Warm Neutrals to maintain the simplicity of the look. And not to forget the lips, kept discreet and natural with the Dior Backstage Lip Palette in Universal Neutrals.
