Glass In Motion presents an insight into the savoir-faire behind Chanel SS18 handbags

FEBRUARY saw the launch of the Chanel SS18 handbag campaign which featured Kaia Gerber in a series of black and white photographs, taken in the very home of Gabrielle Chanel. Now the French fashion house has released the savoir-faire video – a short film which takes us behind the scenes of the Chanel world and into the workshop where the creation happens. The beautifully shot film takes us inside the ateliers of Verneuil-en-Halatte in Northern France where we can see first-hand the creative and design process of some Chanel bag favourites, including the Gabrielle, the Boy and the 11.12.

The exclusive look shows the expert craftsmanship that goes into every Chanel handbag, from the pattern cutting to stitching to the fastening of the signature Chanel clasp. The dreamy pastel colours of the most beautiful fabrics are handled with precision, care and focus, creating the signature Chanel bags that we all adore.
