Heliocare 360 degrees, gel oil free SPF 50

Heliocare 360 degrees, gel oil free SPF 50

Plagued by oily skin and forever acne-prone, this sunscreen was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I’ve never gone back. At SPF 50 it protects from a broad spectrum of sunlight including UVA, UVB, visible and infrared rays. Dry to the touch and with added sebum control, it makes a wonderful base for makeup if you have oily skin like me. Handbag sized and, most importantly, under the 100ml liquids limit, it is an ideal addition to your hand luggage this summer.

Institut Esthederm Bronze Impulse Face & Body Spray

Institut Esthederm Bronze Impulse Face & Body Spray

This unique formula is the ideal solution to those who want to pre-prepare their skin for the sun and prevent the risk of burning. By activating the pigmentation process early, this spray boosts the skin’s precursors of melanin prior to sun exposure and in turn, strengthens the skin’s natural defences. Designed to be used two weeks before going away, the fresh mist spray is to be used on the face and body for full effect. As a result, your skin will be prepared for the sun, making tanning simple whilst away. This does not have sun protection properties so don’t forget to use alongside your suncream!

Vichy Ideal Soleil Protective Solar Water SPF 30 – tan

Vichy Ideal Soleil Protective Solar Water SPF 30 – tan

Incredibly light and fast absorbing, this suncream is the perfect solution for those who are after effective protection without the sticky effects of heavy creams. What is particularly special about this product is the fact that it can be applied to both the body and the face, making this the perfect all-rounder for trips away. Plus, for those who are trying to prolong a pre-achieved tan, this spray is enriched by Beta carotene, rich in antioxidants to give skin a natural looking tan.

Bioderma Photoderm Max Mist Aquafluid SPF 50+
Bioderma Photoderm Max Mist Aquafluid SPF 50+
This tinted suncream uses a combination of three powders to give a mattified, dry-touch finish while simultaneously providing maximum UVA and UVB protection. It is water resistant and incredibly light to the touch so perfect for long day wear. The weightless formula is ideal for those with sensitive skin because it creates a reliable and strong barrier against the damaging effects of the sun. Unlike other face suncreams with such high coverage, this cream does not give you the classic “ghost face” effect and rather provides a healthy and golden-infused glow.

SPF Dr David Jack All Day Long Moisturiser – with SPF 50

Dr David Jack All Day Long Moisturiser – with SPF 50

From the Edinburgh-born and highly rated London-based aesthetic doctor, Dr David Jack All Day Long doubles up as both a fantastic day cream and also a nifty water resistant SPF 50 that offers UV protection, which, as well as containing Vitamin E and Hyaluronic acid (to repair the skin) also has AHAs, citric and lactic acid to increase cell turnover. All these ingredients are clinically tested and proven, of course. All Day Long has a very pleasant cucumber smell too.

Easily absorbed, this light formula, with a hint of colour, has a nice matte finish to the skin, giving the complexion a healthy even glow, while offering hydration and protection against DNA damage. It is also housed in a pleasingly chunky glass bottle.
