SINCE taking the reins as Creative Director of Tod’s in 2019, Walter Chiapponi has reinvented the label’s luxury Italian classics with a signature spontaneity and laid-back attitude. This season, the designer furthered his expansion of the Tod’s lifestyle with a concise 12-look line-up of sporty wardrobe staples elevated with charming Seventies touches.

A pencil skirt, crafted in a lustrous red leather, came enhanced with vertical seam detailing; fringed tunics and ponchos, worn over crisp cotton trousers or shorts, were detailed with a chunky striped texture reminiscent of Berber carpets; roomy Bermudas, low-rise five-pocket flares and drawstring parkas came in a ultra-luxe technical moiré.

Handmade techniques were spotlighted in the accessory range, which included jumbo maxi bags, raffia crochet sandals and totes, as well as the brand’s iconic Oboe in a new jacquard canvas and T Timeless bag finished with a bandage twisted around the shoulder strap.
