Glass reviews Allies of Skin Promise Keeper Blemish Facial

A NEW BRAND to enter the luxury skincare market, Allies Of Skin launched in 2017 and claims to provide products that heal, repair and ‘retrain your skin to perform at its best’. You can imagine my excitement to try their overnight Promise Keeper Blemish facial.

The mask is packed with ingredients that dermatologists rave about such as manuka honey (UMF 17+), a natural antibacterial and wound healer, colloidal silver and organic rosehip oil which improves the appearance of blemishes, scars and reduces inflammation. You’ll be pleased to know the it is suitable for all skin types and contains a combination of acids that encourage collagen production, lighten dark spots and speed up cellular renewal. Like all of the Singaporean skincare brand’s products, the mask is cruelty free and doesn’t contain any fragrances or sulfates.

Allies of Skin Promise Keeper Blemish Facial

As someone who has suffered with severe acne as a teenager and has sensitive skin, I’ve struggled to find an exfoliator that does its job without being too abrasive. Due to the sebum regulating and gentle exfoliating properties of the pomegranate enzymes, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the facial was not harsh at all.

On my first application, I immediately noticed how lightweight the mask is. The few pumps from the bottle sunk into my skin clear, meaning I didn’t have to worry about residue on my bedding. After I washed the mask off the following morning, my skin felt nourished and hydrated and the blemishes I noticed the night before were barely visible. Following the instructions on the bottle, I applied sun protection (SPF) and I didn’t feel the need to apply any extra moisturiser, since the facial had hydrated my skin.

After a couple of days of using the overnight mask, I found that the tone of my skin had evened out completely and it was much brighter. I look forward to continue the facial and seeing how it continues to heal and improve my skin. This is definitely a luxury item, but with the high price point you definitely get what you pay for.
