Glass previews London’s newest beer festival, BrewLDN

CRAFT beer fans will be happy to hear of London’s newest beer festival, BrewLDN which takes place in the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane this month.

Guests enjoying some beer

BrewLDN will be an opportunity for beer lovers to discover and taste new beers from a selection of well-known and upcoming breweries, as they all gather under one roof to serve up their finest pints.

There will be tasting sessions, live music and a great selection of dining options  during the 2-day festival along with the opportunity to attend talks from your favourite brewers.

New York beer giants, Brooklyn Brewery will be making an appearance to showcase their selection of staples such as the Brooklyn Lager, Defender IPA along The Stonewall Inn IPA which is the newest brew to their name. BrewLDN attendees will be able to have an exclusive try of the new Citra-hopped IPA at the event which is usually only available in the USA.  The Stonewall Inn is made in collaboration with the LGBT venue The Stonewall Inn, and the beer celebrates and supports the history of the venue whilst offering a delicious pint.

Brooklyn Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery’s beer educator, Gabe Barry will be hosting an exclusive 45-minute tasting session which will take guests through the brew history of Brooklyn’s speciality, limited-edition and staple beers whilst trying a selection of brews including the very rare Black Ops – a very rare Russian Imperial Stout that is aged for months in Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon barrels and re-fermented with Champagne yeast. The tasting will take place at 8pm on February 29th.

The new launch from London Fields Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery’s sister brewery, London Fields Brewery will also be making an appearance at the event, having recently relaunched their brewery and taproom into a bigger and better space. Their stand at BrewLDN will showcase a range of new exciting brews including Shoreditch Triangle IPA and Sisters Brewing it for Themselves, which is a 0.5% ABV passionfruit sour with a fruity body and tart finish, joining the brewery’s alcohol-free series. London Fields Brewery follows an ethos of ‘Love Not War’ (which is also the name of one of their first beers) and will be donating all the proceeds from the consumer sessions to local Hackney charities via Hackney Giving.

Brixton Brewery, FourPure, Small Beer Brew Co, Porterhouse Brew Co, Goose Island, Crate, Tiny Rebel, Wild Card Brewery, Redchurch and Siren are only a few of the many great breweries showcasing their beer over the weekend. Make sure you secure your tickets early in order to guarantee your place at London’s best new beer festival.
