Glass presents Alexander McQueen PreFall 2020 Collection

INSPIRED by British art nouveau and its arts, the unrefined elegance of modernity and in true McQueen nature, the flowers of the iris, the Scottish thistle and the Glasgow rose. Alexander McQueen‘s Pre Fall 2020 collection is centred around the earth and its hidden gems, from the landscapes of the North of this British land to the metal ores etched under what the eye can see.

Gold, silver and copper, the trinity of materials to crystal, agate, flint and rock, the collection celebrates both the rough and the shiny. The British fashion house is known for its celebration of juxtaposition and taking interest in the things most would turn a blind eye to.

This collection is no different with the contrast of sobriety and seduction playing an element that is threaded through the Pre Fall 2020 collection shown through the refined and the raw, and the smooth with the textured in materials and the common light with the dark. Pre Fall 2020 sees asymmetric dresses, draped double breasted coats, halter neck dresses and crewneck knitwear dress the McQueen woman this season.

Strong tailoring is evident throughout, a clear nod to McQueen’s time at Savile Row as well as an eccentric mixture of materials like suede, leather and tweed make a return this season.

Accessories this season feature the McQueen Story Shoulder, miniature bags for easy everyday wear in the Myth Cylinder, Mini Vertical Clutch and the Mini Sphere Clutch. The iconic Four-Ring Pouch and the Metal Clutch are also revamped this season to take the strong looks to a level where the woman wearing the clothes feels equally as strong.
