The Edeline Lee x Glass Magazine Fashion Week SS20 party at Kadie’s London

ROUNDING off her LFW presentation, London-based fashion designer Edeline Lee threw a party with Glass magazine. Taking place after her sophisticated and thought-provoking SS20 presentation, the event celebrated the launch of her latest collection as well as the recent release of the autumn issue of Glass and Glass Man. Fashion’s finest converged at Kadie’s Mayfair to let loose with an evening of fun, dancing and of course, cocktails.

Guests made their way to Kadie’s Club, located in the beating heart of Mayfair. As exclusive as it is exquisite, the club is well known for hosting A-lister clientele. With signature cocktails and a unique retro aesthetic, it’s become must-go for trend-setters, it-girls, and fashionable figures alike, making the perfect spot for designers and artists to mingle in celebration.

The night was playlisted by celebrated DJ El Conchitas, one of London’s finest electro-indie DJs. An international female dance spin-master, El Conchitas came onto the music scene in 2010 following her success as the lead singer and guitarist in the band, Elena, which traveled throughout Europe and the US. Since making the transition to spinning decks, she’s made appearances everywhere from Ministry of Sound and the O2 Academy, to festivals like Lovebox and Bestival. The evening was closed with an incredible set by Emmanuel Balogun, best known for his wildly eclectic sound, playing everything from Afrobeats to voguing ball-room tracks.

An incredible addition to this season’s celebration was the wickedly talented and world-class magician, Maximillian, who wowed guests with out-of-this-world party trick performances. Making cards disappear, reappear and move to his command, Maximillian was an undeniable crowd favourite throughout the evening. Other special guests that evening included award-winning film-maker Adam Morse, actress Julia Varvara, recording artist Adam Rom and model Hayley Hasselhoff.

Guests were more than happy to see the wonderful PhotoMeBooth selfie pod, which allowed them to capture themselves in GIF form during the midst of the party. Keeping them entertained and sending their images straight off via email or iMessage, the booth ensured an unforgettable evening of fashion celebration stayed as memorable as ever.

A bespoke cocktail menu was created by D1 Gin, a luxury spirit brand known for combining the best of distilling craft and contemporary art. Guests could choose from a classic gin and tonic or vodka and tonic, or for the more daring, the Rooibos Mule, a spice cold infusion of vodka and ginger ale, or the Dom Collins, made of gin, lemon juice ginger, and syrup.
