FOCUSING on a sensual and sophisticated look for summer, Dior has released its summer 2019 collection, introducing warm tones, intense eye looks and the secret to a luminous and bronzed summer glow.
Created by Peter Philips, the creative and image director of Christian Dior makeup, the collection titled Wild Earth, contrasts delicate natural shades alongside energetic, metallic tones, forming a strong aesthetic and celebration of summer throughout the collection. Drawing inspiration from the scorching atmosphere of a Terra Incognita, the collection explores the sun-kissed dunes, earth-toned landscapes, shimmering golden sand and formidable heat of the desert.

Alongside this a sensual femininity is created, embodying the intense elements of the desert and mirroring the raw smouldering landscape of a Terra Incognita. An indulgence into beauty through, bronzed, luminous skin, tattooed lips and mysterious metallic shades, juxtaposes subtle but bold injections of colour.
Dior Summer 2019 Lip Tattoo, Natural Sienna 2
Giving a fresh twist to the classic Dior Addict Lip Tattoo, natural earth shades are underlined with warm tones, to produce four exclusive shades, specifically designed for the collection. Introducing a bronze touch, the Dior Addict Lacquer doubles its intensity for the summer season, mirroring the passionate collection through golden, luminous and captivating colours. Finalising the Tattoo Lips, the Dior Addict Lacquer introduces a contrast of two shades a cool Sunrise Pink and a heated Sunset Red.
The Dior Wild Earth collection
Under the metallic shell of its elegant silver domed case, the Dior Mineral Nude Bronze, builds upon the untamed nature of the collection showcasing a detailed design, inspired by hand hammered copper.
When used on my face the product gives my skin a silky feel, the use of golden mineral powders is apparent but only to a subtle extent, allowing for the bronze shade to display itself as a gentle contour against my fair skin tone. The shade 02 provides a warm glow to my skin, booting the summer glow I’m aiming for, visible but not over powering as I find some bronzers to be.
Dior Summer 2019 Flash Luminizer in pearly bronze
The gentle flicks of the golden mineral power highlight the underlying bronze tones, accentuating the colour without over powering the texture, this leaves a natural sun-kissed glow on my skin, emphasizing my cheekbones in an elegant and sophisticated way. Following the signature look of Dior make up I have trialled previously, this bronzer like other products is delicate yet effective and highly pigmented, adding an additional level of shine to my skin. This is an essential element for me, battling with dry skin, this additional level of sheen creates a dewy glow that is essential when finishing my look for the day.
Building upon the exploration of lands afar, the bronzed shades of sand and earth are drawn from Africa to South America, the renowned 5 Couleurs palettes, delve into glistening caramels, rose gold, taupe and burnt sienna, each shade illuminated further by the infusion of a golden vanilla highlight. Intensifying the eyes, a double kohl and pencil liner, injects a bold sultry shade into the collection, a deep flash of turquoise, creates an unexpected twist in the colour palette.

Adding a final touch to the collection, a range of four summer nail shades complement each product alongside the Sun Glow, a top-coat offering protection for against sand and salt water.
