Ella Rabener launches new bag collection

Designer Ella Rabener has recently launched a new limited edition collection of bags available in seven unique styles.

With only 100 copies produced per style, the collection offers an exclusive edge to consumers looking for an elite investment. Appealing to the modern woman, the bags take on a contemporary finish with rose gold detailing and a juxtaposition of fabric from suede leather to calf hair. The Vivra tote contains diminutive stud detailing which contrasts against traditional Italian fabric, while the Marvelyn tote uses a subtle ombre effect to convey an updated aesthetic.

Although modern, the bags take inspiration from the designers own personal collection; Rabener told Glass, “The hardware we developed was influenced by my favourite jewellery pieces, as I love rose gold and hammered finishes on bracelets and rings, so I wanted to transfer that look onto my bags.” The vintage vibe is apparent on the details of each piece, with rustic edges and intricate design evocative of classic jewellery.

The bags have a conventional structure and are versatile in style and design, ranging from multi-functioning shoulder bags to elegant clutches. The form of each piece has been carefully crafted to allow for a diverse range, with every bag taking on a different shape. Rabener told Glass that “the pieces are quite architectural-reminiscent of the shapes used for modern vases”. The curves and construction add a unique edge and are distinct to the collection.

Rabener has designed the bags with the concept of luxury, as she wants each bag to be treasured as an inimitable piece. The limited edition aspect creates a sense of urgency with each style never to be repeated again.
