Dior presents an eye-catching make-up look for AW19 Haute Couture

ACCOMPANYING the dark silhouettes by Dior Haute Couture AW19, creative and image director of Christian Dior make up Peter Philips created matching beauty looks through added emphasis on the eyes while maintaining a soft complexion and lip. Describing the look, Philips states, It’s a look of modern purity, subtly worked with simplicity. Philips created the look by softly surrounding the eyes with the black shade from the 3 Couleurs Tri(o)blique 053 Smoky Canvas palette and applied it in a circular motion from the upper to lower eyelid, to ensure the delicacy of a smoky eye, Philips forgo using mascara, instead opting for defined brows with the Diorshow Brow Styler and Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Brow.

Blurring any imperfections with the Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer and a thin layer of Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, Philips created a translucent complexion to ensure attention was drawn to the eyes. Applying the Flash Luminiser and a light sweep of Dior Forever and Ever Control Loose Powder, a luminescent quality was added without any dewiness.

The translucent complexion created a soft and elegant make-up look

The eyes were the main feature of the look, emphasised using the 053 Smoky Canvas palette

For the lips, Philips kept it natural only emphasising them with the Dior Lip Maximiser but toning down the shine. Hair was pulled back and off the face, braided into two fine plaits, they were rolled up in a bun and covered with a netted veil, creating an elegant yet sharp hairstyle.
