Chanel launches new N°5 L’Eau holiday campaign starring Lily-Rose Depp

ENCHANTING and fun, house ambassador Lily-Rose Depp exudes childlike wonder in Chanel’s new holiday campaign for the acclaimed N°5 L’Eau fragrance. Directed by Jean-Paul Goude, Chanel’s loyal contributor for nearly 30 years, the campaign is done in Goude’s signature style and depicts augmented reality, which enhances the film’s sense of fantasy.

Chanel’s campaign is mesmerising as it is quirky, depicting Depp seated on a three-metre high N°5 bottle, which was specifically constructed for the film and is a key feature of Chanel advertising campaigns. Dressed in a little Chanel dress and bright red boots, Lily-Rose Depp repeatedly chants “I see”, while looking deep into the snow globe containing the very N°5 L’Eau bottle.

“With this film, we wanted an experienced actress to play a purely commercial message in a natural and spontaneous way, something that Lily-Rose accomplished brilliantly,” comments Jean-Paul Goude, explaining his choice of Depp for the campaign.

Both the advertising film and the limited edition fragrance are launching on November 1 and will celebrate the upcoming holiday season by immersing the viewers in the magical winter realm of Chanel.
