Chanel unveils Coco Neige – its first ever winter sports collection

KARL Lagerfeld has boldly taken the house of Chanel a step further with the launch of its first ever winter sportswear collection, Coco Neige. As a luxury brand, Chanel has never shied away from sports and its influence on fashion, even creating its own skis and snowboards a few years back. It is only natural that Chanel has now released an entire line dedicated to looking stylish on the slopes and après-ski.

Fronting the collection’s campaign is none other than Academy Award nominated actress Margot Robbie, recognized for her roles in the movies Suicide Squad and I, Tonya. Robbie cuts a chic and sporty figure in the Coco Neige Collection, which comprises quilted parka coats,  sherling jackets, mountain shoes and ski-boots, among other things.

Not forgetting that a key function of sportswear is to protect, the Coco Neige collection also includes specially-designed eyewear, which serves to protect against excessive brightness from the sun and snow.

Practical yet sophisticated, the collection retains the classic Chanel palette of black and white and adopts key Chanel motifs like the camellia flower and the CC logo. With Coco Neige,  keeping warm and protected while remaining stylish on the slopes is something you won’t have to worry about. And if that’s isn’t great sportswear, what is?
