Cartier Announces the 21 Finalists of the 2020 Edition of the Cartier Women’s Initiative

THE French luxury jewellery and watch brand Cartier have announced their Women’s Initiative 2020 finalists. An initiative set up by Cyrille Vigneron, President and CEO of Cartier International,“paving the way for a better future”, to create opportunities for women and empower them.

Since 2006, the initiative has helped women reach their full potential by highlighting their achievements and providing them with financial, social and human capital support. Enabling them to grow their businesses and build their leadership skills. The program is open to women-run and women-owned businesses from any country and sector that aim to have a strong sustainable, social and environmental impact as defined by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The 21 finalists, were selected amongst 12000 applicants from 162 countries.

Over the past 14 years, the Cartier Women’s Initiative has accompanied 240 promising female entrepreneurs hailing from 56 different countries and has awarded over 3 million USD to support their businesses.

The laureate from each region will receive US $100,000 in prize money. The second and third runners-up will receive US $30,000. The laureates and finalists will all be offered financial, social media and networking advice and promotion. The seven Laureates will be announced in June 2020.
