Caran d’Ache collaborate with Nespresso for World Recycling Day

IN HONOUR of World Recycling Day which took place last week, Caran d’Ache launched a new edition of their award winning 849 pen made from recycled Nespresso coffee capsules. The limited edition ballpoint pen is a deep green, inspired by one of Nespresso’s most popular coffees, the Master Origins India capsule. It celebrates recycling and acts as a reminder of the infinite durability of aluminum which can be reused time after time. The pen demonstrates how up-cycling can create beautiful designs – giving new value to what was once considered waste.

This year’s edition builds on the first Caran d’Ache Nespresso ballpoint pen, launched in 2018, which was awarded a prestigious Stylographe Trophy in the “L’Ecriture au Quotidien” category, in recognition of its innovative design and use of recycled aluminum.

“We are pleased to write the second chapter of this collaboration with Nespresso after the unprecedented success of our first partnership …founded on sustainable development, a value that Caran d’Ache has held dear since 1915,” commented Carole Hubscher, President of Caran d’Ache.

The CEO of Nespresso, Jean-Marc Duvoisin, added, “We’re delighted to be partnering once again with Caran d’Ache and bringing consumers this unique object …when consumers recycle with Nespresso, their capsule continues its journey. We believe this special collaboration gives coffee lovers something to write home about.”
