British Fashion Council and Seoul Fashion Week continue partnership

THE British Fashion Council continues its partnership with Seoul Fashion Week, building on a program launched last year when Seoul Fashion Week funded the London debut of Korean menswear designers Blindness at London Fashion Week Men’s June 2018 and Pushbutton at London Fashion Week September 2018. This is part of their shared mission to support British and Korean emerging designers by showcasing them to an extended audience of buyers, media and consumers in their respective markets and the international regions they are gateway to.

This year, Münn has been selected by BFC and SFW teams as the recipient of sponsorship to stage their AW19 show in London. The brand was voted Best Designer in October 2018 by representatives of Net-a-Porter, Galleries Lafayette, Selfridges, Opening Ceremony, alongside world renowned press.

Creative Director Hyun-min Han remarked how he was “deeply honoured to show in London” as he has always looked to the city as “the most creative and innovative fashion capital”. British designers Hussein Chalayan and Alexander McQueen have been his heroes ever since he was young, inspiring his love for fashion. He founded Münn in 2013, creating collections characterised by a mix of formalwear and workwear, realised with a mixed palette in colour and textile. He cites 1960s tailoring as a direct influence but uses new silhouettes with unfamiliar details and layered patterns.
