The latest instalment of The Art of Collaboration from Bottega Veneta

Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta have announced the latest instalment of The Art of Collaboration, an ongoing creative partnership with acclaimed artists – collaborating, in this instance with Swiss-American photographer Raymond Meier.

Casting Meier to create the ad campaign for their Cruise 2015/16 collection, Bottega have chosen to develop a play on themes that include relaxed elegance and mood-lifting colours to display the latest collection for men and women.

The choice to work with Meier was a decision made by Bottega’s creative director Tomas Maier, with the final product of the pairing being shot in New York and set against the skyline that makes the Big Apple instantly recognisable.

Confident colour combinations of orange, red and blue brights stand out beyond the manicured lawn and steely architecture of the urban jungle and bring an invigorating modernity to the brand’s vision for the latest Cruise collection. Models featured in the new ad campaign behind the lens of Zurich-based Meier include Josephine Le Tutour and Ben Allen.

Tomas Maier has said of the collaboration “Raymond Meier’s all-around vision and distinctive interpretation of color, always displayed with a personal twist, perfectly epitomize the light-hearted and pragmatic essence of this Cruise season.”

Meier is also set to join other creative luminaries who have previously collaborated with Maier and Bottega, including Nan Goldin, Philip-Lorca Di Corcia, Pieter Hugo, Peter Lindbergh and Juergen Teller. All former partnerships have recently been celebrated in Bottega Veneta: Art of Collaboration, the brand new monograph published by Rizzoli and featuring 28 seasonal campaigns from AW 02/03 to AW 15/16.
