Arcade Fire announce first feature film – The Reflector Tapes

It became evident that Arcade Fire became more than an average indie rock band when they announced they were headlining Glastonbury festival in 2014 – seven years after playing the Other Voices stage. They have managed to gain worldwide attention and have decided to celebrate this with the announcement of their first feature film The Reflektor Tapes named after their successful fourth album Reflektor.

Fans can expect to enjoy unseen videos of the band on tour, concert footage and an unreleased track whilst enjoying a cinematic experience that combines the qualities of a documentary and creative visual art. The trailer teases personal footage of the fronting husband and wife, Win and Régine dressing up in the zany costumes, which the band is famous for wearing on stage.

No doubt is this film made for fans, but it seems the majority of the world enjoy what Arcade Fire have to offer. The Reflektor Tapes is directed by Kahlil Joseph – an award winning filmmaker who has collaborated with the likes of notable artists such as Kendrick Lamar and FKA Twigs.

The film is released worldwide from September 24.
