Milliner Alexandra Harper opened her first shop last week in London. The shop combines her studio and marks a new beginning and personal milestone in her career in bespoke hat and headwear design.
Originally from Australia, Harper has over ten years experience in millinery, launching her own label in 2004. The shop space is based in a converted salon in Clerkenwell. Visitors to the shop may view various headpieces from Harper’s past collections and even catch a glimpse of Harper at work. Bespoke appointments can be made with Harper if one wishes to create an original headpiece which cost between £200 – £2,000.
Harper’s designs are a blend of innovation and creativity fused together with expert knowledge in classic millinery. A favorite among the media and celebrities, her headwear has been featured in various publications and outlets including Russian Vogue and the Los Angeles Times as well as the Queensland Art Gallery and Brisbane Fashion Festival in Australia.
