Alexander McQueen opens Roses exhibition in its flagship store in London

ALEXANDER McQueen has opened a new open-access exhibition titled Roses on the second floor of its flagship store in London. Curated by brand’s creative director Sarah Burton, the exhibition is a second installation of its kind and aims to familiarise all fashion students and enthusiasts with the craftsmanship of the house.

The inspiration behind Roses comes from the two iconic McQueen dresses, which are also the centrepieces of the exhibition: the Red Rose dress by Sarah Burton, created for the SS20, and Lee Alexander McQueen’s roses dress that closed the Sarabande show back in 2007. In addition to the different models of dresses, the exhibition room is filled with sketches, mood boards, and typographical videos, which allow the visitors to dive into the entire process of collection production of Alexander McQueen.
