Alexander McQueen AW14 ad campaign launched

When Alexander McQueen does dark romance at the hands of photographer Steven Klein, every party involved does dark romance. Making a star symbol of British model Edie Campbell, the AW14 campaign captures the wild beauty of the newest McQueen collection. In a provocative series of striking shots, McQueen’s most recent collection is seen in its intense element, in which “beauty and the beast, forest undergrowth and flora and nocturnal fauna” was the order of the day.

All of the McQueen savagery is intact, from the devilishly decadent ornamentation to the high horse equestrian links, and Campbell, rather savvy on the saddle herself, embodies the romanticised warrior-ess fearlessly. Tapping into the genius that is Klein’s photographic vision for a second consecutive campaign, McQueen by Sarah Burton may just be looking at another ace in the hole this season, after last season’s award winning campaign featuring Kate Moss. Keep your eyes peeled for the charmingly gothic set of ads, which are certainly going to make an impact in glossies over the coming months.
