AS THE country enters its seventh week in lockdown, Alexander McQueen enter the sixth week of the #McQueenCreators project. Following the Prime Minster’s announcement to fractionally loosen the lockdown, now allowing us to spend more time outside (at a sensible distance of course), the latest brief as part of the initiative seems increasingly fitting. This week McQueen are asking the creative community to submit photographs that take inspiration from nature.

“I’ve always been inspired by nature – it’s a thread which runs through everything we create at McQueen. The most important thing now is for us to reconnect with nature. These pictures are a reflection of that thought,” explains Creative Director, Sarah Burton

At the same time the house have also unveiled a series of photographs capturing the great outdoors, shot by both long-standing McQueen collaborators and emerging photographers based all over the world, further uniting the community McQueen have endeavoured to keep connected during this time of physical separation.

As with previous projects in the McQueen Creators series, creatives are asked to share their final pieces on Instagram tagging @Alexander McQueen #McQueenCreators. A selection of images will then be featured across the McQueen social media channels.
