The V&A – Fashion pops–up on Regent Street

The V&A is celebrating the year of fashion and its main exhibitions, The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 and Wedding Dresses 1775-2014, with a fashion pop-up open for one day only in central London. The V&A Fashion Pop-Up will be offering a selection of items that are all inspired by the Museums extensive fashion and textile collections, including fashion jewellery, accessories, prints, V&A books and exclusive products for sale and is part of is part of Regent Street’s Summer Streets Festival at Quadrant Arcade.

On the day, visitors will also get the opportunity to take part in free illustration workshops lead by CreateVoice, the V&A’s youth collective and noted illustrator Stuart McKenzie. Other Summer Street activities will include live performances from Tiempo Libre, The Notables and The Fabulous Swingers on the Camper Van Stage, following by a fashion catwalk down Regent Street. This will offer models and fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to show off their own individual style on the day.

The V&A curator of The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 Sonnet Stanfill said, “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to take the V&A to Regent Street as part of this year’s Summer Streets festival. The V&A Fashion Pop-Up will have a fantastic range of fashion merchandise on offer, as well as an exciting programme of free fashion illustration workshops throughout the day.”

The V&A Fashion Pop-Up takes place on July 20, 2014, from 11.00 – 18.00 in the Quadrant Arcade on Regent Street, London W1B 5HF

The Fashion Illustration workshops run from 12.00 – 17.00 for 30 minutes per session. The workshops are on a first come, first served basis, please arrive 15 minutes before the start to check availability.
